I met with 2 fantastic specialists on Thursday. They are so knowledgable & caring. Everyone at this Cancer center is so warm and caring! Would you believe this could be even a more rare sub-set of CMML! So, they ordered more testing....11vials of blood Thursday & another bone marrow biopsy on Friday. We will have some results on Tuesday when I meet with the doctors. We already know my white blood count is up significantly since a month ago. So, I'm going to stay here another week so we will have all results and a treatment plan. Love to all of you and again, thank you soooooo much for your prayers, support, a nd love.

ReplyDeleteMy doctor visit went well yesterday. The diagnosis of CMML (chronic myelomonocytic leukemia) is confirmed. The good news is we do not have to jump right to a bone marrow transplant. I will start with drug therapy. I think I've been able to curb my weight loss. Oh, I lost 35 lbs. or so over a fairly short time. Hmmm.... and to think of the times past when it was so hard to lose weight! I'm feeling so good now as, to me, this is really good news. I have a lot of really good days, some bad days, and a few days where I need care. Thank you for letting me share with you, but mostly, thank you for your love and continued support!
